Dear Madison Corps Alumni (MCA) members,
Dear Madison Corps Alumni (MCA) members,
We are disappointed and sorry to inform you that we have not been selected to perform in the 2027 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The issue, in part, is that the applicants' video performances heavily influence the committee's decision. While we submitted a variety of videos of Madison Scouts, Madison Scouts Alumni performances, and including a video of last year’s Madison Scouts performance, there is nothing available that includes us all as a single organization, as we have not performed together…yet. So, let's look forward. We are committed to doing something together. Again, the groups involved are alumni from the 32nd Hussar, State Street Review, Madison Scouts, Madison Junior Scouts, CapitolAires, CapitolAire Petites, Capital Sound, and SouthWind.
We still believe in offering this group an opportunity for wonderful memories doing what we all loved doing, so we will be meeting this fall to discuss potential projects beyond our targeted Rose Parade experience. That being said, we would also like to hear your suggestions. While we welcome all ideas, please realize that we are focusing on performances that do not involve the use of pit equipment, and something that will take a minimum amount of rehearsal time with our unique project. We are open to considering local, regional, national, and even international opportunities.
For those of you who have made deposits with us, you may request a refund, or you can allow us to hang on to your deposit if you know you want to perform with us or until hearing of our potential future project(s). If you wish to receive a refund, please log in to the member area of our website. You'll see the official form on the Member home page. If you choose to wait and see, you can indicate that on the form, or you can do nothing; your place in the performance will remain intact. We will be in touch very soon.
Thank you!
Craig Mason, David Lofy, and Scott Pearson
